Yana is a multi-disciplined performer with knowledge of many different styles of music. She is trained in classical voice, choral singing, and musical theatre (her first love!). Yana has been singing and dancing since she was five years old and has no plans to stop any time soon. Her dancing background is just as diverse and includes: jazz, ballet, tap, belly dancing, and salsa. Favorite professional stage shows include The Clean House (Pulsar and Lansing State Journal win for Best Actress), Looking for the Pony (Wilde Award Best Duo nominee), Evita, Godspell, Avenue Q (Rogue Critic nominee for Best Supporting Actress). Yana received her training at Michigan State University and The Ruhala Performing Arts Center and is the Educational Director at The Studios at Michigan (an acting studio) and a voice teacher at the Rochester Conservatory of Music.
